Nebraska Esports Program is thrives as a student-driven competitive and social gaming hub at University of Nebraska-Lincoln, designed for casual gamers, club teams, and varsity competition alike in an inclusive and performance-focused environment.
As a university-managed program, it is open exclusively to current UNL students, with no general public or neighboring community access available, though select events like tournaments and community gaming days are promoted for broader student participation.
Based in the heart of campus, the club currently runs from the Rec Room in the Nebraska Union and is actively moving toward a dedicated esports lounge and arena investment by the College of Journalism & Media Communication (CoJMC) in the Union. The program supports weekly gaming meets, LAN tournaments, and competitive club teams in titles like Rocket League, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros., blending social activity with structured competition.
