HPU Esports Arena – Hawaiʻi’s First Full-Featured Collegiate Gaming Hub
HPU Esports Arena, Hawaiʻi Pacific University’s pioneering collegiate facility that spans 3,000 sq ft at the Aloha Tower Marketplace in downtown Honolulu—delivering immersive play, varsity training, and community events in a tech-forward space open to all.
The arena welcomes students, locals, and visitors alike walk-ins and reservations available with hourly access fees ($10–$15/hr); HPU students get weekly play credits during the academic year, making it a true public hub.
The arena packs 30 Alienware PCs (RTX 4080/3080 GPUs), next-gen consoles, VR stations, casual seating, viewing areas and outside viewing, all backed by advanced AV with multiple 4K displays and projection systems for seamless streaming and signal distribution.
HPU fields varsity squads in League of Legends, Valorant, and Overwatch, with regular practices, group sessions, and “game days” in-season. Beyond competition, it hosts high school/middle school league finals, Smash Bros. meetups, corporate hackathons, “Women in Gaming” nights, watch parties, cyber-defense scenarios, and esports summer camps by blending fun, learning and inclusivity.
