HawkeyEsports Arcade – University of Iowa’s Flagship 2,700 sq ft Esports Lounge

The HawkeyEsports Arcade at the University of Iowa transforms the Iowa Memorial Union into a vibrant gaming nexus where varsity rigor meets casual vibes. Spanning 2,700 sq ft, this student-first lounge packs high-end PCs, console stations, and an open layout that sparks drop-ins, scrims, and social queues making every session a seamless blend of competition and connection.

As a university union facility, it is open exclusively to current UI students, faculty, and staff, with no general public or neighboring community access available.

Powering UI’s esports program, the arcade fuels varsity squads in League of Legends, Valorant, and Rocket League while welcoming the full campus crowd for events, tourneys, and watch parties. It’s Iowa City’s digital heartbeat where Hawkeyes grind, bond, and unwind in an inclusive arena that turns downtime into game time.
