Esports at Kennesaw State – The University’s Multi-Campus Gaming Network

Esports at Kennesaw State University forming an ecosystem that spans multiple dynamic spaces, blending high-stakes competition with casual campus hangs across its Kennesaw and Marietta locations. From varsity scrims to student-led events, these facilities fuel a program that launched in fall 2020, evolving from club roots into an intercollegiate force backed by Athletics and Student Affairs.

As university-managed facilities, they are open exclusively to current KSU students, faculty, and staff, with no general public or neighboring community access available.

The KSU Game Lab in Atrium Building Room J202 equips students with 40 robust workstations (Windows 10) during evening/weekend slots—Mon–Fri 6 PM–11 PM and Sat 9 AM–5 PM plus consoles, Wii setups, and large screens for multiplayer mayhem.

On the Marietta campus, the Marietta Game Room in the Student Center delivers 12 state-of-the-art stations and two plug-and-play console areas, open with Student Center hours (closures for practices).

The Kennesaw Loft Student Lounge on the third floor of Carmichael Student Center adds 15 console stations in a cozy setup, accessible whenever the center’s doors swing open.

The Game Hive / Game Lab (aka “game lab”) rounds it out with 40 workstations, Unity/Maya/Adobe suites, Visual Studio, GameMaker Lite, and audio tools—ideal for play, development, and creative projects.
