Alienware Longhorn Esports Arena & Lounge – University of Texas at Austin’s Flagship Esports Space

Deeply partnered with Dell Technologies, the Alienware Longhorn Esports Arena & Lounge inside the Texas Union delivers immersive, high-performance gaming to the UT campus, welcoming students and the public alike. Debuting with the Lounge in August 2022 and expanding to the full Arena in October 2023, these spaces—totaling 50+ stations—equip Longhorns and visitors for casual fun or pro-level prep in a sleek, accessible setup.

The Lounge on the main floor kicked things off with Aurora R13 desktops, Alienware laptops, and console zones, while the 3,400 sq ft Underground Arena added 43 battle stations, a varsity room, production center, and viewing area—creating a complete ecosystem for training, competing, and streaming. Powered by Alienware gear, it supports everything from Fortnite queues to FIFA clashes, with events drawing thousands since launch.

The facilities are open to the general public alongside UT students, requiring only a valid student or government ID for walk-ins, with off-campus rates at $6.50/hr or $65/10hrs alongside student discounts at $3.50/hr. Both venues are open to the public alongside UT students, with non-students welcome via walk-ins or bookings at standard rates, fostering broader community engagement beyond campus life.

Longhorn Gaming—the student org behind it all—fuels the scene with tournaments, watch parties, and community builds, positioning UT as an esports leader. Public perks like free first Mondays and $2.50 Tuesdays make it a hotspot for all, blending campus energy with broad appeal.
