Jacks Esports Lounge – Grassroots PC Gaming Hub for Casual & Club-Level Play at SDSU

Tucked into the lower level of the Enrollment Services Center, right next to fitness and rec admin, the Jacks Esports Lounge launched in early 2023 as South Dakota State University’s long-awaited gaming anchor. This laid-back yet capable space brings together casual hangouts and club-level action in one inclusive spot. The lounge packs 12 Alienware PCs with Titan chairs, plus Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Oculus VR stations—backed by large-screen TVs and plenty of seating for squad sessions or solo grinds. Whether you’re jumping into your first match or prepping for a tournament, the vibe is open and approachable.

As a campus recreation facility, it is open exclusively to current SDSU students at no additional cost, with no general public or neighboring community access available.

At the heart of it all is the SDSU eSports Club, one of the state’s biggest student gaming groups with nearly 300 members. They dive deep into League of Legends, Rocket League, CS:GO, Valorant, Overwatch, Super Smash Bros., Call of Duty, and Rainbow Six Siege, using the lounge as their base for practice, events, and community building.
