UNM Esports Club – University of New Mexico’s Student-Driven Gaming Community

UNM Esports Club has grown from casual dorm LANs into a buzzing, inclusive club with 130+ members spanning all skill levels—a lively spot where rookies team up with veterans for fun and fierce play. The club shines in competition: squads swept the NMSU Invitational with first-place wins in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Mario Kart, and Splatoon 3, while their Splatoon 3 team seized the Collegiate Cephalopod Association’s Division 5 national title.

As a student-run club, it is open exclusively to current UNM students and members, though select community nights and tournaments welcome non-students for broader participation.

It’s more than matches free weekly events like Smash tournaments (student-led), varsity squads, and livestreams tie gamers statewide, building bonds that extend far beyond the screen.
